Typically these programs happen once a week after the school day ends. Speech classes run 1.25 hours and debate classes run 1.5 hours. Most programs include 6 sessions.
We generally align with Fall (October to November), Winter (January to March), and Spring (April to May), though schools may follow different schedules.
In addition to the core sessions, we often offer an extra class to prepare students for the Seattle University speech and debate event held in November, March, and May.

We need one classroom for every 6 to 8 students, though we can accommodate 12 to 16 students when necessary. Ideally, classrooms include a projector or screen for instructional presentations, especially during the first three classes.
When 12 to 16 students share a room, we divide into two speaking groups. Because students are actively presenting, sessions can be lively but remain manageable in standard classroom spaces.

We have a limited number of instructors available and do our best to staff each program with experienced coaches. If teachers or parents at your school are interested in teaching, we offer competitive pay and welcome their involvement as part of the program.
When schools provide interested instructors, it often makes scheduling easier and helps the program feel more integrated into the school community. If no instructors are available locally, we will work to provide instructors whenever possible.

Speech classes are $50 per student per class and debate classes are $55 per student per class. Fees are based on the number of enrolled students and the length of the program.
We believe access is important and offer fee reductions or waivers for low income students whenever possible. Schools may also choose to supplement costs or incorporate scholarships to support broader participation.
